Review of "Urnban Guerilla" by IndustrializedMetal.tk

Well well, after Samael another band from Switzerland for me to review on IndustrializedMetal.tk. Deep Metal Mechanic brings you with the album “Urban Guerilla” into a war soundtrack of almost fifty minutes, which the band underlines with quotes like “War is terrorism with a bigger budget”.

What should a good war soundtrack give you? First, some very powerful guitar stuff. Second, use some blastbeats and use them the way they are meant for. Third: don’t be ashamed using killer samples. And I can say nothing more than that this band really has listened to these rules. And besides, this band doesnt sound like a “one hit wonder” or a rip-off. “Urban Guerilla” blasts you from the first until the last second in a world of war, death and terror. Songs like “Peakoil” and “Easy Dough” are very close to perfect. I also praise the fact that this band knows the meaning of the word variation, because I think that the danger of making music like this is to sound monotome. Well, nothing but good words about this record. It has surprised me in a positive way, and I think that people who like bands like Thee Maldoror Kollektive and the Count Nosferatu Kommando should give these warriors a chance to listen to. Stel (the bassplayer of Unk!, who brought me into this band), I owe you one! Oh, and by the way, this album is completely instrumental (if we don’t count some mixed in vocals).
